Ronald Koeman’s side finally managed to reduce the deficit in the 83rd minute with a goal from Hartmann, who had previously worked with Steven Bergwijn to make it 1-2.

The Netherlands was stunned after falling behind in the 7th minute. France successfully broke the deadlock through its star player, Mbappe.

The Netherlands responded immediately in the 55th minute. Donyell Malen found the back of the French goal, but the referee quickly raised the flag for offside.
The goal that the Dutch had been waiting for only came in the 83rd minute. Steven Bergwijn’s fast acceleration on the left was completed with a low cross.
Hartman was in the right position at the right time. He only needed one touch to beat the goal guarded by Mike Maignan. Unfortunately, until time ended, the Dutch failed to score another goal to force the match into a draw.
